"Hamlet" by William Shakespeare
In
English 12, I had the opportunity to experience Hamlet in an
interactive way. I watched the movie, discussed the plot, characters,
important
lines, and created a "Hamlet Journal" to keep
track of everything I
learned. A copy of the completed Hamlet Journal
can be found
below.
Skills Demonstrated:
- In my opinion I enjoyed the
play. At first I didn't think that I would find it interesting because when you
hear the name "Shakespeare" it automatically makes you think of a loooong story
and weird english that you can't really comprehend. My favorite thing about
Hamlet was the dramatization in the actors. The way they dramatized every
conflict kind of made the play suspenseful and want you excited for the next
class. I think watching each scene on the smartboard and then going over each
line in the script and interpreting them into our own words is what also
made it fun. Interpreting the lines to me is what helped me to better understand
the play and what it was all about. All in all I enjoyed the play and wouldn't
mind watching the movie over just for fun. Dr. Griffin wasn't playing when
he said that i would love this play.
